My 7 yr. old and 5 yr. old are having a Kool Aid Stand today. We are experiencing record breaking heat, as is a large part of the country, so they have had quite a few customers. 7 yr. old isn't quite as chipper about it as her sister, though, since apparently orange just isn't as popular a flavor as cherry.
My 10 yr. old son is trying to get a piece of the action, too. He recently used some of the money he earns from working for Daddy to buy the Arctic Blast Water Gun. Ice cubes go into the chamber as well as water, thus, the Arctic Blast.
He has posted a sign that offers a Cold Blast for 25 cents. So far he has had no takers, but I told him that a sweaty lawn care worker just might take him up on it before the day is out.
I wish I could post a picture, but MaddieLynn has my camera. She has gone to a golf tournament out of town with Daddy and she loves to take pictures. I expect to see lots of photos of butterflies, flowers, and squirrels when she returns.

I laughed out loud at the "Cold Blast for 25 cents." When we were vacationing in Happy Valley I would've gladly paid the quarter! When I woke up today to 49 degree weather here in the Frozen North, I was so relieved. Of course now it's up to 71 degrees Fahrenheit-- which is perfectly alright with me. At least I'm not sweating today carrying the baby around in a sling. Now I'd pay upwards of a dollar if your son wants to come carry the baby around. :)
aww, i love orange kool-aid! i would totally come buy one if i had my car. next time though. :)
Way to Bubba!!! We saw one of those guns today at our pool and thought of you.
(black cherry!!!) ;-)
was your husband at the club professional's tournament in plano? because that's where my hubby was. :o) one of those arctic shots would have been great!
p.s.
i agree with hopeful hollar regarding black cherry ;o)
Do the kids accept Paypal? I could use a few drinks.
