You know what's a downer when you're a 12 year old boy and your baby sister begins to speak in complete sentences?

She turns informant.

This is what I found when I went to dress the baby.

Her explanation? "Jackson color me, Mommy."

That boy is so busted!  (Nice tulip, though. Don't you think?)

Too funny! Her big brother isn't going to get away with too much any more. He's pretty good at drawing tulips, though...even on his sister's tummy!

Will we be seeing commercials for the newest TLC reality show: Homey-Skool INK?

I think that's a good idea, Dana. I've noticed how the media is always looking for ways to positively portray homeschoolers and this could be it!

...so many times when I've conducted my investigation, I've encountered "shock and awe" on the older's face:

Child: "But MOM - she TOLD me to!"

Me: "Oh, and you are supposed to do EVERYTHING your little sister tells you to do?!"

Hmph.

I agree - nice tulip. :-)

Yes, it's amazing how much more trouble the older ones cause when that little one starts communicating!

It is a nice Tulip, I see art in his future.

I have one of those 12 year old boys. I could totally see him doing something like this. It's like the question never enters their mind "Should I be doing this?".

at my house the response would be "Daddy doed it"... Daddy went so far as to photograph the poor child with the crayon in his hand propped up to his face to make him look like he did it.... I therefore cannot discipline when the two children do it to each other....

A tattoo artist in training?

My nephew cut my son's hair when they were both very small and then stowed the evidence behind the couch. I discovered it a week later when my son was getting a haircut and there was a significant swatch missing.

Maybe he was playing connect the dots with her freckles. Does she have any freckles?
