Warning: This is the type of thing that will commonly happen if parents insist the kids entertain themselves with no help from television or other electronic devices.
This explains a lot about why we are always out of tape.
Thaaaat's right. It's an artistic rendition of a pencil shaving.
So... what do your kids do when they are bored?

Ouch! Was that duct tape?? Was that kind of painful coming off!??
Un-supervision and my boys are a bad combo. It usually results in a lot of LOUDNESS. Which is ok for now, but makes me wonder what will happen when there is a new baby sleeping in the house!
Haha! Love this! This weekend we had some friends visit - they had one 13-year-old boy. He and my boys spent HOURS making things with bits of paper, lots of tape, staples, paperclips, pen springs, nails, etc. Most could fit under the category of military toys or projectiles. There were no complaints of being bored, as long as I kept them supplied with tape...
Nice! :) Tape is a hot commodity around here also! :P
My 6 and 3 year olds are really into sending mail. First they draw pictures and write letters then they stuff them into envelopes, address them, so they think, place a sticker on front then stash them in a decorative file box I keep in the living room as a sofa table. I caught them the other day and realized it's full of "mail".
Very nice! :-) My five year old has a thing about tape too! I give her a weekly scotch tape allowance.
Amy, I don't know how she did it, but the "glove" slides off and on.
Allyson, A tape allowance? Brilliant!
Oh dear. The things they come up with when they are bored are amazing. That's when they really get creative - writing on doors and changing clothes 5 times - leaving a trail of clothes along the way. In the store, one of my daughters took apart a cash register - the one at the pharmacy at Walmart - in about 20 seconds. They couldn't get it put back together and we hurried out of there! Another daughter sneaked away while we were making apple crisp and bought over $800 in costumes on Ebay. You can read all about these things on my blogs.

Well, my son once "built" me a Mother's day gift out of items he found in the bathroom trash. Think toilet paper rolls and one-week-a-month small plastic tubes. It was a beaut, let me tell you.

Lol!!!! Oh the things kids do!!!
When my 3 year old is supposed to be napping she tries on every article of clothing in her dresser. At the same time. Then I hear her calling for help and I find her with so many layers on she can barely move and is "stuck" needing help. *sigh*
