If you wear a short skirt that doesn't come to the knees to Bible Class, and I'm not saying whether you should or you shouldn't, and the chairs in the classroom are arranged in a circle and you cross and uncross your legs, those of us on the other side of the circle can see clear to Cancun each time you do.
I know this isn't the intention and I wouldn't have thought anything of it unless I had seen it myself, so consider this a note to self as well as a public service announcement.
Let's keep Cancun covered, 'kay?

Posts like this reaffirm my conviction to wear shorts under dresses. Thank youuuuu.
very well put!
Amen and Amen!
It's reasons like this, combined with the bending over, squatting, and skirt-riding-upping that chasing and holding onto three squirmy preschool boys nearly always entails, that I've put the skirts away and nearly always wear slacks! :)
LOL! Very good advice, indeed!
that is why I always try on an outfit and then sit in it to access it's modesty. sometimes things like that can be overlooked very easily if you're not being aware.
and yeah... um... eww!
Oh yes.
And may I just say that I was seated in Bible class on Sunday morning across from a mirror---which really tends to make one very aware of how one is sitting. Perhaps you should add a little mirror here and there? :)
And no--Cancun did not appear in the mirror.
I stick with long skirts. :)
This is why short, straight skirts should never be worn unless you are never, ever going to sit down. And you didn't even mention the rising up the thighs problem.
I may or may not have been one of those sisters you were speaking about in this post. But I would encourage you to come to us first before posting it to Blogland. I'm sure every sister that was sitting across the room from you is now worrying she pulled a Britney Spears on her Bible Class. We watch out for each other as sisters, so please next time, give a girl a heads up, instead of a broadcast reprimand.
Matthew 18:15-17
Anonymous,
I didn't mean to offend anyone.
I was meaning this as a heads up to all of us ladies and even included in my post that this was a "note to self".
I'm sorry it sounded like a broadcast reprimand.
A friend told me that she squats, bends at the waist and raises her arms as high as she can when she tries anything on the dressing room. I think it's a great idea, and I plan to start doing it.
You are such a crack up!
Thank You! Wish the ladies from my Bible study read your blog! :) It is really amazing how many people at a women's Bible study are obviously oblivious. I wonder if they are more careful around our husbands?
It never hurts to do the sit down test before walking out the door anywhere!
so glad my belly nicely hangs and covers everything :o) i guess it is THE one and only perk...
