I'm Being Followed

Stumble Upon Toolbar

Have y'all noticed the "Following" feature down there on my lower right sidebar? It shows cute little pictures of the people who are "following" me.

The disturbing thing about it, and I'm not saying that tiny 75x75 pixel photos of perfect strangers who "follow" give me night terrors ... or anything, is that one day there will be 27 followers and the next there will be 26, then 27 again, and then 26.

Not that I compulsively check it ... or anything.

Do you realize what this means?

I ask you, what have I done to deserve this? I cook and I clean. I pick up countless wet towels and dirty socks and used cups and what do I get for my trouble?

Oh, wait. That's a different topic altogether.

But, seriously. Is it the whole Dora thing? Because I can change. Really, I can. I can learn to love abnormally large headed girls who talk to backpacks if you'll just give me another chance. We can work this out. Honest.

Now, you just go right back to following me and we'll forget this whole thing ever happened, 'kay?

There, now doesn't that feel better? You don't let anyone tell you that following a crazy lady with seven kids is creepy, you hear me? You go right on ahead and follow whoever you want.

And for Pete's sake, don't UNfollow again! The crazy lady can't take it!

You crack me up! I am going to 'follow' you now and I promise to be good!

I have to admit, I was really ticked off about the Dora thing. Not!

Oh, wait! I had somebody un-follow me yesterday. I wonder if they clicked over here from my blog, read the Dora thing, and decided that since I follow you, I must hate Dora, too.

Hey, stop messing with my followers!

See? Isn't it nice to be crazy with other crazy people? ;-)

*giggles* I've only got two followers, no one likes me, so I haven't got that problem :P

:) That's why I follow anonymously. Don't want to offend anyone when I want to drop them.

Not you, of course.

But I've been dropped a time or 2!
And I didn't even blog about Dora.

Lol. I follow anonymously, too. :-) Not that I would ever un-follow you, Connie!

well, if you use google reader, and subscribe through reader, then you show up in both places, and the post is there twice. So i've unfollowed some people to unclutter my reader. Maybe that's what they did! You certainly do have a lot of followers!

Well, I have read your blog for a few years now. (We were pregnant around the same time.) I just recently "officially" followed you, but trust me, I have been a constant reader! :) (I also follow you on Twitter)

LOL I know what you mean, not that I obsessively check or anything. But just so you know, not to worry you or anything, there are people like me who follow you, just not publicly. (We do have some pride. JUST KIDDING!) But seriously you always crack me up!!

Okay Connie! I'm following you now too! Your dreams are going to turn to nightmares! (insert evil cackle here!)

I've noticed the no. of followers you now have has grown (and yes, I'm one!)
Have you tried using a link to follow the no. of visitors instead? It's a lot of fun to show the children with the flags of the world. I've just recently added it to my blog.

Love reading all your ideas and anecdotes btw! :)

Well, if this makes you feel better, I've been following your blog for a year or so, but I'm not an official "follower."

If I can ever figure out this new-fangled stuff, maybe I will become a follower. LOL!
