Birthday Palooza

Stumble Upon Toolbar

We have two birthdays this month, then Christmas, followed by a birthday soon after.

Whew! That is a whole lot of celebrating!

I will be very glad when the two year old is no longer two (the birthday after Christmas).

Today, she tee-teed in her panties, making a puddle on the floor. Since she didn't want me to know about it, she decided the best course of action would be to cover it up with a heapin' pile o' clean clothes.

Despite having five former two year olds already under my belt, I'm deluding myself into thinking that the day she turns three, all those shenanigans will come to an abrupt halt.

Please, keep your experiences to the contrary to yourself.

Thank you.

We have already celebrated The Baby turning one.

(This is the best picture we could get. Will try again tomorrow.)

And The Bubba turning 12.

I remember when I brought him home from the hospital thinking, "WHAT am I supposed to do with a baby boy?"

Sometimes I still wonder that, minus the "baby".

Especially when he fills up my camera's memory card with 113 photos like this one.

And this one.

And this one.

And when he thinks he is hysterically funny because he holds up rabbit ears behind someone's head in EVERY. SINGLE. FAMILY. PHOTO.

Still, I can't help adoring that kid. Especially when he lets me take his birthday photo without crying or drooling or needing a diaper change.

(Any ideas which of these three photos I should put in his 12 yr. old frame?)

I like the second pic--he looks 12! My twins just turned 12 in October, so I truly understand this post. I really, really do. Sometimes they act so grown up and sometimes they act so 12...

Frame the third one. It's good! The baby looks really excited to be 1. :)

And also? C3PO with his hands up is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

So my boys aren't the only ones who fill up the memory card with RANDOM photos of who know's what. Thank goodness for digital pic's!!
Great story of boys being boys.
Happy B-day to all!
I like the 3rd picture.

I love all the pictures, but I think the last one of Bubba is my fav. And your little one year old looks so much like your 7 year old!! We like December birthdays around here as well!!

Buy the boy a camera of his own :-)
or maybe, in the very least, his own memory card. Never mind that one. yours would only end up getting lost.....

I like the 3rd pic the best, but the 2nd, is, well, a close second.

Happy birthday to all December smockities! I really like the third photo but also the second photo b/c it seems like a unique shot of him and he does look more grown up in the second one. :)

we probably need to get your bubba and my bubba andrew (will be 12 in march) together; they seem to share common interests (star wars, taking photos, bein' goofy)

I love both number 2 and number 3. Number 2 makes Bubba look soooo grown up and number 3 is just as he is now... lol.

Love the 1yearold pic too. would love to have a hard copy of all pics for myself, but I know how that is.

I'd go with the second picture - looks noble. ^_^ And the baby picture is very sweet.

I know I shouldn't say it but he is sooo cute! He does look very grown up, like he should be out bringing home the supper!

Adorable baby! My youngest is a 12yo boy. Oh, yeah. I get those pics, too. The last set was of stop-action Lego animation.
