My mother in law gave me this little book because she thought I would enjoy it. She was right.
It isn't very long (206 pages) so I was able to finish in just a couple of days.
It is the true story of a professor at Carnegie Mellon finding out he has pancreatic cancer. The doctors have given him 3-6 months to live when he signs on to give a lecture at his university.
The book is an expanded form of the lecture in which he basically tells all his loved ones what he most wants them to remember. "Write hand written thank you notes." "Never give up." "No job is beneath you." These are just a few of the pieces of advice he gives for enjoying life to the fullest.
It's one of those "How To Live Like You're Dying" books, only for this author he really was dying.
I really did enjoy this book.

hey! I have read your blog for awhile on and off, and I was wondering if you use cloth diapers? I am thinking of making the switch because it seems like it would save money, esp if we are blessed with another baby, but I am a bit overwhelmed at where to start...there seem to be so many kinds and some seem really expensive-do you know anything about them or have any recommendations? I just picked this up on CD from the library and started listening to it. I know it's been a big bestseller.
I saw his last lecture on TV. It was so upbeat but really a heart-breaker! I imagine the book might be just as good.
