Modesty Survey

Stumble Upon Toolbar

Here is an interesting survey that 1600 men took part in. 200 young ladies posed 148 questions about modesty to be answered by men, young and old. The questions were then presented in the form of positive/negative statements. The men were given the chance to choose agree, strongly agree, neutral, disagree, or strongly disagree.

For example, one such statement was: A tube top is immodest. Some of the questions include the phrase, "stumbling block" as in, "It is a stumbling block when a girl reaches inside her shirt to adjust her bra strap." Each statement can be clicked on to see the percentages of men who chose each answer. Also available are the ages of men, education, and the state in which they live.

It is interesting to see what men think of various questions. I discussed the survey with my oldest daughter, and she was very interested to see the results. We had a good discussion about modesty and responsibility.

**I first heard about this at Amy's and then Kim's sites.
