I like to play a little game with myself to see if I can never pay full price for an item.
That's why I was so excited when I found this cute little thing recently.
Since it's red and beaded around the neck, I think it is perfect for holidays and parties.
Look at the retail price! Who would pay that much? Not me that's who.
Check out the red sticker price! AND I got it for even less since the store was having a clearance with a percentage off all red ticket items!
That's what I call a frugal purchase!
I'm thinking of wearing this over a black top with nice jeans for my 25th high school reunion at the end of the month, but I don't want to look Christmas-ish. What do you think?

Excellent find. Just don't wear it with green (too Christmasy) and you'll be good to go.
Aren't retail prices just ridiculous? I feel bad for people who don't know any better and pay it.
:)
Oooh...with a nice black shirt...lovely!!
Oh, and I wanted to tell you - I ran some bleach through my front-loading washer. OH MY GOODNESS. My clothes smell good! They haven't smelled good, straight out of the washer, since I MOVED IN over a year ago. I assumed it was because we were on a well. Thanks, Miss smockity. :-D
Great find~
I would wear it with some brown cords and a yellow or olive/mossy green top?
More of the fall/autumn colors
A yellow sunflower pin might look nice on the sweater~
If you give a pig a pancake...LOL
Blessings,

I am quite a frugal gal myself, and I have to say, that is one of the best feelings. Buying something you need and paying so little for it.
And p.s. wear the sweater with white or black and some cute slacks or jeans and you are good to go girl!
My girls laugh at me because I NEVER pay retail for anything. I always find it on sale or better.. yard sale. We say "3 snaps in z formation Ms. Smockity Frocks." Proud of you!! Also I did the bleach / vinegar thing in my front loader.. Super fresh clothes.. forwarded it to my sister who always has stale smelling clothes. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I just fell off the frugal bandwagon. I've been doing so well until I bought the kids' holiday clothes today. It's been my first splurge in a very long time, though, so hopefully it's ok. I don't think I need a 12 step program for recovery, that's for sure. Just paying for them was painful! I'm ready to not buy any more new clothes until next year at this time!
That combination would be very appropriate for your reunion, red and black are very classy. Adding green would make the outfit too Christmasy. I think that top would also look adorable over a brown shirt, for a nice autumn look.
