There Never Were Such Devoted Sisters

Stumble Upon Toolbar

Do you know one of the side benefits of homeschooling that I love the most?

My children spend so much time together, they are their own best friends.

Don't get me wrong. We have our share of bickering, and they also have friends who do not live in our house, but they truly enjoy working and playing together.

Here you see "Chocolate" and "Vanilla". They couldn't look more different. One has blue eyes, blond hair, and tan skin. The other has brown eyes, brown hair, and freckles galore.

Where ever you find one, the other will be close by.

There never were such devoted sisters.

Ahhhh that is so sweet! My sister and I didn't get along until our 20's, now she is one of my dearest friends. We have 4 boys and one little girl, it makes me sad to think she will never have the super close connection that sisters have. Kim

I have the same situation. Two very different little girls, 2 years apart, who play together all day long! This is also one of my favorite effects of homeschooling. Sometimes I look outside during "recess" and all 4 of the older kids are playing together. I love it!

I love it!! It is so true, I'm so touched by how Em and Soph are connecting even more this first year of homeschooling. So sweet to see pics of two of your cuties growing up:)

Lately, my chocolate and vanilla haven't gotten along very well. They were. But not now. So this post gives me hope. They will get back in their groove. :)

We have the same 'problem' (ahem). Siblings that are best friends. It makes my heart melt.

Awww... I love having a sister!

Your two are so sweet. I love the pic of yellow shirt/pink boots and pink shirt/yellow boots. Adorable!

I was homeschooled but my sis and I have had relationship issues most of our lives. I am really close with my brother though. One of my biggest fears is for my children to have problems like my sister and I. It's so touching to see sisters who love each other like this!

Amy, I didn't notice the pink/yellow at first!

Did y'all notice the chocolate and vanilla horses in the background? Wasn't it nice of them to cooperate with my photo shoot?
