Peace and Quiet

Stumble Upon Toolbar

If you ever need some peace and quiet and you tell your husband that you need 20 minutes, just 20 minutes *all alone, and you'll be good as new, and if you decide to make it a 2 fer and pick up a few things at CVS while you're relaxing, try not to schedule that visit during an attempted robbery of the pharmacy.

Because if you do, you will long for the peace and quiet of that rambunctious gaggle of kidlings you left back at home while the ear piercing alarm blares for SEVEN FULL MINUTES and the management and every last employee rushes about inside the store bumping into the customers and each other until they all rush out the door and into the parking lot, leaving the customers staring blankly at one another.

And that will definitely NOT be relaxing.

*Here and forever after "all alone" will of course mean "with a baby on my hip."

Jennifer, While I was shopping I kept hearing an automated announcement over the loudspeaker, "Pharmacy, Line 1...Pharmacy, Line 1..." over and over. Now, I'm guessing someone was calling to make sure no one was back there so they could grab and go. I never saw anything except the aftermath.

That is awful! Yes, definately not peaceful.

Great reaction by the store employees, I must say!

How horrible!!

How ironic that I too told my DH that I *needed* to get out and that I was going to CVS after lunch, alone, nothing but me and my coupon box.

Oh wow! How scary to just be doing your "normal" thing when that happens! I was at CVS tonight filling a script for my just turned 4yo as she has caught her dads Strep throat. What can I say...at least my family is willing to share their illnesses :)

Good Grief! If a mom can't get some peace & quiet at CVS with no kids, where is there any hope!
