The lunch with our new friends went swimmingly yesterday. I would post some pictures if I had taken any, but I figured if anything says, "HEY! I'm a complete nut job! Glad to meet ya!" it's someone whipping out a camera for the purposes of posting a head shot on the world wide web.
We enjoyed our visit and they invited us for a lunch date at their house in a couple of weeks, so I am looking forward to new friendships.
And, also in the New Friend category, we have brand new next door neighbors, and y'all are not going to believe how brave they are. THEY INVITED OUR ENTIRE FAMILY TO COME OVER!
FOR DINNER!
INSIDE THEIR HOUSE!
They have 2 small children and the whole family is just as sweet as they can be and we found out that we all graduated from the same university (albeit in different decades). Plus, at one time they lived in a certain metropolitan city that we once inhabited and we have common aquaintainces!
Isn't that bizarre? They actually know someone my husband went to high school with. IN THE EARLY 80's!
And you know what else? SHE BLOGS!!
What a small world!

That's really cool! I could use some more friends. :)
That really was brave! I remember before we had kids it kind of stressed me out to have a family with even 1 kid over!
My hubby & his hs buddy still get together etc. He rents land from us. They were over today putting up fencing & we were teasing the two older kids. My dd2 (13) & their son1 (16). Neither one are interested in dating but us moms were laughing at the possiblity of them getting married. Wouldn't that be a hoot. I really wouldn't mind him for a s/i/l he is a very good boy.
Ohhh...I love being invited to others homes!! I have a friend (9 kiddos) whom I often invite over and she will have me (and my measly 5 kiddos ;))over quite often. Thank God for fabulous friends!!
What a beautiful family you have!
Blessings, Rossie
