Lay's Salt & Vinegar Chips

Stumble Upon Toolbar

I would like to thank my sweet husband for bringing home these chips, especially for me, from his last shopping trip.

He knows how I love all things vinegary - pickled okra, pickled beets, pickled peppers, pickles.

Furthermore, I would like to thank my children for hating these chips. This assures that I will never reach into the bag to draw out only crumbs. I can enjoy the entire bag!

Oh, how I love you, Salt and Vinegar - and Husband!

Not necessarily in that order.

Oh, Miss Connie. OH, Miss CONNIE - if they are available in a grocery store near where you rest your weary head, you MUST try Tim's Cascade Chips, Sea Salt & Vinegar chips. The chips are extra thick, the salt is sea salt (read, extra salty), and they've managed to reduce the vinegar down into SUPER vinegar. CRAZY good. Just in case you were wondering. ;-) They're from Birdseye Foods, and are sold in every (read: cheap) grocery store here.

Either way, I'm with you on the vinegar thing - and I'm not even preggo!

Oh my word, my mouth is watering at the very thought! Unfortunately, around here I have to compete with hubs and the 16 year old human garbage can when it comes to salt & vinegar chips, but oh how I love them!
Hey, do you like pickled eggs?? Ooooo girl, I just love them things!

I LOVE salt and vinegar chips. They always disappear too fast, don't they?

Fortunately, my wife hates all things vinegar. It makes her feel like barfing. So I, like you, get the chips all to myself. Unfortunately, I have to enjoy them in seclusion, as she will not stand to be in the same room as me when I'm eating them.

There is no better potato chips that Salt n Vinegar! I love them plain or dipped in homemade sour cream/onion dip (made from sour cream and dried onion soup mix).

Loved them since I was a kid. My dh can't even stand the smell of them - so they are all mine...well all mine if I eat them when the kids are not around. They love them too.

I can eat so much that the next day my lips are kind of peeling - burned I guess from all the salt n vinegar.

My old favorite was Old Dutch variety - but they don't have them around where I live - so I'll take what I can get.

Something similar we found in California was a limon flavor....

Aunt Lolo and Edi, I'll be looking for those. They sound yummy!

Michelle, I found a pickled egg recipe just after Easter. I was going to try it, to use up all of our Easter eggs, but I waited too long and ended up throwing a few out. IT's still on my list of things to try.

Dear Connie,
Just wanted to stop in to introduce myself and tell you that I just ordered and apron and a bonnet. I'm so excited about those! This pregnant belly is getting wet every time I get near the sink so the apron will be perfect! My 8 year old daughter will just love it too! Found your blog through Holly's, I think, and it is great!

Oh, when I was growing up we used to vacation at the Jersey shore and get these wonderful fries that we would douse in vinegar...yum!

I understand being grateful that your children don't like something that you do. Amen!
