Poncho Power!

Stumble Upon Toolbar

My girls love to wear their ponchos!

I knitted the 3 with the fluffy edging, and found the little white one at a garage sale. The girls who got knitted ones each picked out the yarn they wanted.

The pattern is very simple. Just 2 rectangles stitched together with Fun Fur crocheted along the edges.

So cute. Em just started knitting and this might be something she could do. Of course, I don't know how to knit at all so we may have to wait for Gram or Grandmommy to come visit to try!

They are beautiful! I wish I could knit. I just couldn't get the hang of it after learning to crochet. Maybe I'll try and crochet one for my little girl. Are they washable? Oh the fun things there are to make for girls!

MaddieLynn - you are a gem. Thank you for buying your mama those slippers. She will be the most gorgeous mama in the hospital. :)

These ponchos are so cute. Is it a difficult pattern to use for a beginner? I'm trying to learn how to knit at the moment and hopefully I'll be able to make something nice (that someone will actually wear) one day.

Summer, This would be perfect for a beginner. I actually lost the pattern, but for the small purple one, I used size 10 needles and cast on 29 stiches. Knit every row. I kept measuring it against her until I was satisfied with the size. Best wishes!
