Flight Delayed

Stumble Upon Toolbar

I usually don't talk about my innards on the innard-net, but it's really all that's on my mind right now.

I just spent 36 hours having contractions every 4 minutes in the labor and delivery unit at a hospital one hour from my home. (Thank you, Lindsey, for talking good care of all of our children!) I am dilated to 4 cm and the doctor advised me to stay in the hospital until I deliver because this is considered "active labor". I told him that I had obligations at home, but I would be very lazy and order my family to do my bidding. He agreed that I could rest at home, so here I am waiting.

If I can stall for one more week, it is likely that the baby won't have to be in the NICU at all. So, I am keeping my legs crossed and I absolutely appreciate all prayers and well wishes.

Thank you!

Connie, glad to hear that they were able to stop the labor! Also glad that you were allowed to come home! Woo hoo! I have had pre-term labor with all of mine also... right at 30 weeks for some reason. I am sure that you are exhausted from the ordeal. Now stay in bed and rest!! Praying for you!

I have been praying for you all day! I have also been wearing my apron most of the day as I start to get stuff ready for Thanksgiving.
Rest and take care of yourself.

Oh, Connie! You'll be in my prayers, too! God bless your family. I shall pray for another week's delay. :)
To be nosy here, is this unusual for you, to go this early?
Take care!

I am praying for you & baby. He/she might be ready to make an appearance soon, though, ready or not! Isn't it always like that?

Best wishes!

Glad you are home and baby is hiding out (in?) a little longer. I'll be praying for both of you! :)

I am so glad to know she's staying put. I know how much difference a week can make. I also know how hard it is to have a NICU baby. You are definitely in our prayers!
