Smoked Ribs

Stumble Upon Toolbar

When my husband and MaddieLynn went out of town last week, they spent one night with an old friend from my husband's high school days.

For dinner they were served smoked ribs that they raved about for days after they got home.

My husband decided to give the recipe a try and they turned out great! Here is how he prepared them for our family of 8:

2 packages Pork Ribs - Boil for 2 hours 45 minutes. Make one dry smoke pack out of Mesquite wood chips and foil and one wet smoke pack out of more wood chips that have been soaked. (These wood chips were in the aisle with the charcoal at the grocery store.) Poke a few holes in the top of each foil pack.

Put the smoke packs on one side of the grill and turn the heat on medium high. Put the ribs on the other side without the burners on. Brush barbecue sauce on the ribs and close the lid. Every half hour or so, turn the ribs and brush on more sauce. Smoke for 1 - 4 hours. The longer they are smoked, the more flavorful they will be.

These turned out great and we all devoured them! We will definitely be having them again.
