One Word

Stumble Upon Toolbar

Here is a fun little email that was forwarded to me.

The Game is on !!!

Describe me in one word.... just one single word. Send it to me, and to me only.

Then send this message to all your friends and see how many strange & interesting things they say about you. This is really fun.

Here's how:

1. Hit the reply key and send me my one word.

2. Then return to this message, and forward it to your friends (including me) and see what people say about you when limited to one word !!!

The Game is On !!!!! DON'T FORGET TO SEND ONE BACK .

I got lots of responses that gave me warm fuzzies, and I even saved them into a folder on my computer so I can review them when I need a pick-me-up. I'm sure you can do some cut and paste voo-doo to use it yourself. Just don't ask me how.

There were two responses, though, that puzzle me. One of the words I got was "multi-faceted." At first, I thought that, of course, it meant "multi-faceted" as in the Hope Diamond: sparkly, dazzling, reflecting light, etc. Then I began to wonder if it meant "multi-faceted" as in Sybil. Remember that awful movie about the girl with multiple personalities? I'm sure her friends told her she was multi-faceted. I'm not paranoid or anything. (Who said that?)

Or did it mean "multi-faceted" as in a carnival house of mirrors? You know the one right next to Jo Jo the Dog Faced Boy? Where the parents wait outside laughing hysterically watching their small children give themselves concussions smacking into the Plexiglas. (Not that I have done that....more than once.) Does this mean I am confusing, misleading, pain inducing? I think I'll go with dazzling and light reflecting.

Then, there was this one word response: "surprising." I'm not sure I can force this one into the pick-me-up category. Does this mean, "It is surprising you feel confident going out in public with that hairstyle" or "It is surprising that you can string together 2 coherent sentences with so many children clamoring around your legs"? I finally came up with one that I think was intended by the friend who sent it. "It is surprising that you haven't won Mother of the Year, what with the way you let them eat cookies for breakfast and all." They are oatmeal cookies! There, now don't you feel 'shamed at "tsk, tsk"-ing me?

I'm sure that multi-faceted means many wonderful sides to who you are! And surprising? Oh yes, definitely surprising regarding the cookie recipe. :)

(You're funny, bright, beautiful, and witty TOO! And I didn't even get the e-mail!)

Awwwww! Thanks, Holly! I wasn't trying to solicit compliments, honest. (She fibbed while kicking the ground sheepishly.)

I think you are "neat." Not neat as in super tidy. Maybe you are, I don't know you that well. But neat as in, lots of great ideas, fun blog posts, great kids, and you haven't fallen apart from craziness yet.

Thank you, Nikki! As far as super tidy, I'll let you think the best of me. Just don't look too closely at the photos I post. ;)
