Fishin' and whittlin'

Stumble Upon Toolbar

This is my 10 year old only son. He caught this fish for our dinner when we were on vacation in October.

He took the second photo of a whistle he whittled. He made one for each of his sisters for Christmas. It was a fun project for him. He worked very hard drilling the holes, whittling the notches, and sanding them. You can see how to make one here .

Now that's a man's man! Way to go!

Great lookin' fish & whistle.

I think he needs his own blog, though. Something about fish guts and foo-foo clothes just don't go together.

Tell him to feel free to visit The Bicycle Rack when he needs his fix of on-line testosterone!

So, you are a stay home mom to 6 and you said this handsome young man is your only son. I just "have" to ask . . .what are the ages of your other children (if you don't mind me asking)? I am also stay home (and homeschooling) mom to 6--1 boy and 5 girls! LOL My oldest is my son at 8 yrs. old, all the way down to 7 month old twin girls. I found you through Barbara's apron contest--love the aprons you are making--great job! Wish I had the money for one right now! :-) Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,

I'm glad you stopped by. My children are 11, 10, 6, 5, 2, and 11 mo. 3 of them are having birthdays soon, so they are really more evenly spaced than it apppears.
