Since we have been married, I gaurantee that 99.9 percent of our meals are from scratch, and they taste sooo good as compared to the others and are so much healthier! Thanks for the reminder of how frugal it really is.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05956817058041138278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3006405629844665542.post-14949681821135691602009-02-01T15:07:00.000-05:002009-02-01T15:07:00.000-05:00I made your muffins this morning. Thank you for getting the word out. I felt confident about cloth diapering to save money after reading her book. I also save butter wrappers to grease pans, save onion peels for stock, bread crusts for bread crumbs, so many things!

I also make pizza from scratch (so easy 2 3/4-3 cups of flour, 3 tsp yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1Zombiemommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12484880804068329390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3006405629844665542.post-63168740253618047182009-01-30T13:54:00.000-05:002009-01-30T13:54:00.000-05:00Kris, I'm with your kids (but don't tell my mom - ...Kris, I'm with your kids (but don't tell my mom - she's big into the fresh blueberry thing). I have discovered that we prefer the pizza dough mixes to homemade simply for time and convenience sake. And, the Wal-mart brand is only $0.44 a pouch.

Here's my problem with the muffins, though. But once you memorize the basic recipe (and her book goes over so many variations!) you can change it according to what you have on hand. And now I'm off to make some banana chocolate chip muffins!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3006405629844665542.post-35271346866296723062009-01-30T11:21:00.000-05:002009-01-30T11:21:00.000-05:00I've been in the mood to bake muffins from scratch...I've been in the mood to bake muffins from scratch, so I'll be using your recipe today.
